Riccardo Ceretto, hailing from Valdivilla (hamlet of Santo Stefano Belbo), founded the Ceretto Casa Vinicola in Alba in the 30s. In the 60s, Bruno and Marcello, the sons of Riccardo, selected and purchased vineyards in the Langhe and Roero, including some of the best Barolo and Barbaresco cru for making and marketing their wines.
The vineyards are managed through organic farming, which avoids overusing natural resources, continuously analyzing and monitoring according to a model of sustainable development that can last over time, in full respect of man and nature. The organic management, and in some cases biodynamic, was strongly supported and implemented by Alessandro Ceretto, who in 2010 decided to undertake this endeavour and who saw the wines obtain with the vintage 2015 organic Certification.
