Founded in 1856, Cousiño Macul is the only winery amongst those established during the nineteenth century that continues in the hands of the founding family, who controls 100% ownership of the company. Antiguas Reservas is Cousiño Macul´s emblematic wine, with over 80 years in its portfolio. Since its debut in 1927, it has always been a limited selection of the best Cabernet Sauvignon of Cousiño Macul’s vineyards. Along the years, we have maintained its classic style, combining the maturity of the New World, the elegance of the traditional wines and a structure that allows an adequate aging capacity.
Tasting Notes
Intense bright ruby red color. The aromas are clearly frutal and spiced, giving a first impression of plums, raspberry, cherry and a floral note with fresh pepper. Afterwards, it gives space for toffee accompanied by vanilla and a smoked scent. In mouth, it has a medium to high acidity, round tannins and very frutal feeling. It´s an elegant wine with an intense body, fresh and long mouthfeel.
